I’ve been loving the blog post requests I’ve been getting lately! Most recently, a reader going on a Spring Break vacation asked for a couple of hair ideas. I like to play with my hair, and have since I was a little girl (aka: I was that creative 6th grader who wore bouncy butterfly clips, and thought a whole head of corn-row-esque twists was the best hairstyle invented). Thankfully I have broken away from those styles and adopted more flattering hairstyles. Some of the ones I am featuring today are styles that I utilize frequently, and others are specifically for that “just-walked-off-the-beach” look. I have really wavy hair as you can see from the picture below, so sometimes it is hard to manage. To demonstrate how easy these styles are, they were all done with slightly damp hair that had not been combed through yet. That being said, these looks are all achievable, regardless of where spring break may take you, or what kind of hair you have!
Hair, almost fully air dried:
Simple topknot:
-Hair tie
-3 bobby pins to hold bun in place
Fishtail braid:
-1 clear elastic
Braided bangs + various mini braids:
-1 clear elastic
-2 bobby pins
“Half-up, Half-down” Messy French Braid:
-1 clear elastic
Braided bangs + low side bun:
-1 bobby pin
-1 hair tie
“Half-up, Half-down”:
-4 bobby pins
