What’s a girl to wear?

With Valentine’s day only a couple days away, I’ve started brainstorming some ideas on what to wear. I wish that Polyvore was my own personal closet and I could simply collage the perfect outfit and publish it right into my closet. Sadly, that’s about the farthest thing from possible, and I have to work with what I’ve got. 

Although it was pure torture to see how many things I don’t own, and how many things I can’t afford, it was really fun to put together a few fun outfits for a couple different Valentine’s day date ideas!

For the girl stressing about what to wear on a date:

Go for bright and bold. It’s Valentine’s day, there will be tons of couples out doing the same thing you are, so why go through life unnoticed? Wear the cliche red tones to play up the romantic feel, and pair it with a nice pair of skinny jeans and cute pumps. Work what your mama gave you! A fun clutch to finish the outfit really adds some sass.

For a more relaxed evening at home:

Have fun with the Valentine’s day theme and find a cute heart sweater that’s not only comfortable, but also playful. Pair it with your favorite pair of yoga pants (I know we all have more than one pair) and comfortable boots. To add a romantic touch to your loungewear, play around with your makeup. Wear flirty pink tones, gloss up your lips and put on that pink polish. For the finishing touch, put on your man’s favorite perfume and bring over ingredients to make your own heart shaped pizzas. A night in on Valentine’s day sometimes turns out to be the most fun and memorable!

And for all the single ladies:

Tonight is your night to shine! Don’t let the stigma of this holiday discourage you from a night on the town if you are Valentine-less. Put on your favorite party dress and plan a night with all of your girlfriends! To add some sassy to your classy, pair your dress with a funky pair of shoes, and a bright clutch. You can’t forget the red lips (gotta stay true to the holiday color ladies), and a statement necklace to complete the outfit. Regardless if you find a Valentine or not, you’ll be looking good and feeling even better!
