It goes without saying that puffer vests are one of the most coveted 3rd piece in many girls’ wardrobes these days. J. Crew has mastered the art of puffer perfection, and many small businesses have followed suit in carrying vests that give these hot ticket items a run for their money (and rival the expensive price tag). This adorable vest is a perfect example! This puffer is from a company called Amazing Lace, and it is exactly that..a m a z i n g. I saw the bright orange color and immediately fell in love. It’s not a color that I ever go for while shopping, but something drew me towards the boldness of it!
The trick to wearing bold pieces like this is pairing them with subtle pieces that simply complement your statement item (think of the color wheel!). This crisp navy and white stripe top was the perfect match, and so cheap! It’s a preppy look, perfect for any day of the week. Don’t be afraid to go for the brights! This vest is marked down from $50 to $15!!!! Sometimes it pays to go for the colors people are a little nervous about wearing!!
I initially wanted to pair it with my best friend’s grey striped long sleeve top (it is so cute and I have borrowed it since we were in high school….BUT, she got rid of it…I WAS SO SAD!), and thought about topping it off with my grey beanie, and some grey booties, so that’s another option for styling this bright color that does all the talking!
I hope you guys have an AMAZING Monday, and that the weather isn’t too bad wherever you are! (It’s supposed to rain all week here in California, so fingers crossed that it actually does!!)

I love that you chose orange becuase not a lot of people wear that color. Love that it looks bright but is still warm for winter!

It was definitely harder than I thought to make work, but I am so obsessed now!
Oh that orange is so fun! I wouldn’t have thought of pairing it with the leopard but now it seems like a no-brainer.
Leopard is my go-to for almost everything! xo
Normally I don’t like the color orange, but I love it in this outfit

I think you do! 😉
I’m not a bright color person, but I do love orange and think it’s such a flattering color (on you included)! This look is so cute and your leopard flats are the perfect extra touch!
