Black Belted Romper

Ordering online can be so difficult; whether it be due to sizing conversion, misread fit details, fabrication, or it’s just not what you thought it was going to be. This romper caught my eye on shein.com, however when I received it, it was just slightly too big and way too long. I wasn’t ready to give up, so I dug into my drawer to find belts that had been collecting dust for the last few years.

Sure enough, I achieved the exact look I was going for! I love that the belt allowed me to manipulate the waistline as well as the overall length of the romper. I was also able to pull the sides up a little more to give the shorts a slightly scalloped hem, which can be very flattering on many body shapes!

I’ve been spending my time in NYC these last couple of days so I know that California is not the only place stuck in summer mode, so this is an excellent option for a Fall look that incorporates your favorite summer pieces as well (i.e. these lace up sandals that I love).

The jewelry I am wearing with this Black Belted Romper is also well worth mentioning. The cuff by Isharya is SO gorgeous; the texture of the gold and the stones in the center set it apart from any other cuff I’ve ever owned. Honestly, I usually steer away from cuffs, but I’ve already thrown this cuff on with so many outfits and it has made each one that much better. It’s so nice to have a statement piece of jewelry that transforms your look.

Which leads me to these earrings. The mix-and-match set is hands down my favorite pair of earrings ever. If you know me, or you’ve been following for a while, you know that I never switch up my usual diamond studs (literally never). These earrings were the first pair to come into my life that actually made me step away from the studs and try a new look! I am hooked. The necklace speaks for itself…also, you probably see it on nearly every snapchat and instagram I’ve been posting since I got it…safe to say I’m obsessed.

HAPPY MONDAY! I will be flying home from NYC today, so my heart is a bit heavy…I am already counting down the seconds until my next trip, but also looking forward to seeing friends & family again xo
