Budget-Friendly Fall Essentials from Nasty Gal

Enjoy this budget-friendly Fall Essentials roundup from Nasty Gal! I picked a ton of my favorite items that I’d be easily adding-to-cart myself this season, knowing that I won’t be breaking the bank!

Even if you don’t purchase anything, you can use these pieces as building blocks for some outfit ideas for the coming cooler months.

PERSONAL STYLE

Quick real talk: as much as I love shopping, I’m definitely at a point as a consumer where I find myself wanting to purchase vintage/used clothing over new pieces. Environmentally speaking, it’s so much better to reduce our consumption of things, especially when those “things” fall under trend buckets that are quickly changing with every season.

When it comes to trends, I’ve tried to really focus on ones that actually feed my personal style rather than buying into a look that I may just go-to for a photo opportunity. Especially when scrolling social media these days just seems like a giant copy-paste of everyone doing the same things. Where is the fun in that?

Lately I’ve been thinking about what my true personal style really is; I have always said that my style changes with my mood, day, and activity, which is true! But since we’ve been abroad, living out of a suitcase and forced to stick to a capsule-like wardrobe, it’s really made me reflect on what I reach for and feel best in everyday.

If you’re on TikTok, then you may have been served videos from Allison Bornstein’s AB process videos. Her technique teaches you how to narrow down and define your style with 3 style words. I’ve come to realize that for sure two of my words are comfortable and casual. When I’m not putting much effort into styling, and rather just blindly reaching for my favorite pieces, they consistently fall into that category.

As I’ve been thinking about returning home to LA where my massive collection of clothing & shoes awaits me, I keep thinking about how I can’t wait to minimize things I never reach for (keep an eye on my Poshmark!). I’ve learned so much in the past 4 months of traveling, and one of those things is less is more. In so many regards. But definitely when it comes to clothing — you can do so many amazing things with a handful of core basics in your wardrobe!

Thanks for reading, and happy shopping if you see anything that would enhance your already-wonderful wardrobe 🙂
