A couple months back, I went through a phase of being obsessed with lipstick. For a good month I spent numerous lunch breaks scouring the cosmetics counter for brilliant new shades to add to my collection. Finally my conscience gently pulled on my wallet to re-gain control over my lipstick-obsessed mind and I put the obsession to rest. As fun as lip color is, it can get pricey; especially when you are naturally drawn to the name brands plastered on every gleaming page of Elle magazine.
When you want to have your cake and eat it too, or in this case, keep buying lipstick without being required to fork over the cash, all you need to do is a little research. I love finding pharmacy off-brands to replace beloved designer cosmetics, but sometimes we find that faking it just doesn’t cut it. I’m sure we’ve all been victim to that. But recently, I stumbled on a lipstick that does not get enough credit, or simply has yet to be discovered. The color lasts, it does not dry your lips out (my biggest lipstick-peeve) and the application is very smooth. H&M gets December’s Currently Coveting post; these beauties are a whopping $5.95, and come in the best basics. What more could a fashion-savvy, money-saving girl ask for?
