INLAND EMPIRE PHOTOSHOOT SPOTS

You all KNOW that I’m 100% COLLABORATION over competition so this blog post is a direct reflection on how much I believe that we can all help each other rise to the top instead of trying to race each other there. Sharing my Inland Empire Photoshoot Spots because finding new places in a different city was no joke. Turns out a handful of you are also in the area so I want to share as much as I can!

where to take photos in the ID

Since moving back to my hometown, Rancho Cucamonga, I’ve had to adjust my work flow and shooting schedule quite a bit.

In Los Angeles, it was a given that shooting during the weekday was the most ideal. You could count on streets being predominantly empty, having a substantial amount of parking, and no crowds to get in your way.

In Rancho, it seems like everything I got used to over the past few years is actually opposite.

The first time Brennan and I went to shoot during the week in Rancho, we ran into more crowding than we expected.

Since Rancho is mostly suburban, we gravitated towards the warehouses and office buildings in town to get the city vibe aesthetic we typically look for. Well as you can imagine, most parking lots and garages were packed because they provide parking for the office buildings – which are of course full during the week.

We quickly realized we would need to pivot and shoot on weekends when office buildings are closed / parking garages are empty.

After chatting about this briefly on stories, a few of you girls came to my rescue! As time goes on I realize there are quite a few content creators in the Inland Empire – which is so exciting because before moving back here I really didn’t think there would be very many girls to connect with who are doing the same thing as I am! It was a very exciting discovery, and made my heart happy.

Since I’ve dabbled a bit more in finding some shooting spots for my content, I thought it would be great to share what I’ve found as well as suggestions from followers – if you have anymore, comment below or DM me so I can add it to the list!

COLLABORATION over competition, always!

MY GO TO SPOTS (so far)

  • Northwest Corner of Fourth & Haven: 2 story white parking garage
  • Claremont Colleges – drive around on 6th street to start; there are SO many spots throughout the college campuses.
  • Warehouse “district” on Haven after you drive south of Fourth st
  • Warehouses off Rochester + Arrow
  • The mountains!
  • Claremont Village Parking Structure
  • Hillside Church Parking Structure – my best kept secret! It’s super tiny and always empty.
  • Victoria Garden’s Parking Structure – they have a security guard monitoring it pretty closely though so you need to work fast!
  • Upland – Right outside of Lucky’s Coffee there’s a white building that gives off boujee street vibes; has a step and some shootable pillars
  • If you need an outdoor cafe to shoot at, head to “The Local Baker” for an amazing pastry and bistro style tables in a nicely shaded area out front!

  1. Absolutely love this! I live in the IE and have wanted to start taking outfit photos for IG, but have always blamed the struggle on where I live! I will definitely be going through this list and challenging myself to show up and get started already. Thank you!!

    1. YES! This makes me so happy!! It’s so hard to location scout so I totally get it – hopefully this will help you feel more comfortable to get out there and explore some great spots! Once you start you’ll begin to notice all the options in the surrounding area! 🙂
