Do you ever stand in your closet, staring at all of the assorted tops and bottoms and just think “I have nothing to wear.”? I’m sure 99% of girls can answer “yes” to this question. And if your answer was “no,” I envy you. Sometimes it’s not that I don’t know what to wear, it’s that I don’t know what mood I am in. Especially when it comes to deciding whether to look ‘thrown’ together, or ‘put’ together (two very different looks, I can assure you).
My day’s activities usually have a huge bearing on what I choose. If it’s a day full of long, monotonous classes, I tend to gravitate towards the thrown together look. However, if I need a boost of energy (yes, my outfits boost my energy) then I will put a lot more thinking into this process.
This outfit stemmed from both ideas, believe it or not. I knew that I wanted to wear a dress because of the tease of summer we’ve been having this week, but I also wanted to grunge it up somehow. Which is why I decided to contrast the feminine lace with this biker vest and gray booties. To make the look more casual, I tied the dress up for a little laid back feel.
