Winter dresses are sometimes hard to nail – whether it be the wrong fabric, or the wrong colors…sometimes there just aren’t many options to choose from. It gets especially hard when you have to deal with the weather.
As a Southern California native, I don’t really deal with winter weather that drops below 50 degrees; and even that cold of weather is rare sometimes! Even though I complain and wish so badly that I could experience a white snowy Christmas, I also can’t help but be thankful that this short little dress can be considered as a winter dress simply because the fabric is a little bit thicker than all of my other dresses.
When I found this dress, I knew I had to have it — how fun is the red lipstick to bring out the tiny little red polka dots?! It’s a warm fabric, and the deep colors are perfect for the season. (Ignore the fact that I am practically the color of the cement I’m standing on).
I also loved pairing the navy heels to create a monochromatic look. I’ve had these heels for a couple of months now, but haven’t found the perfect outfit to debut them with; I think it’s safe to say that’s changed now! The sophisticated straps make the playful dress a little ‘older,’ so it’s a nice touch.
*order a size up, this one fit a bit small in the arms!*
