Newport Beach Tunic + White Plum Giveaway {2}

Tunics are a tough style to master; if you’re like me (short-ish), then they’re somewhere between almost-long-enough to be a dress (if you don’t move your arms at all), but not-quite-short-enough to look cute as a tunic (#ShortGirlProblems anyone?). All issues aside, I knew I had to have this Newport Beach Tunic when I saw it on White Plum‘s website. Partly because Newport Beach is probably among my ‘Top 5 favorite places’ in the world, but mostly because it is just SO stinkin’ cute. The pattern is a perfect Aztec-meets-Beach Chic, and the color combo is more than summer friendly. I was worried about the length at first, but pairing it with a boyfriend jean and some fabulous sandals crushed all doubts. I decided to show you the three ways I wear this tunic so you have some options of what fits best with your body type, because I know deep down we all have a love/hate relationship with tunics, and that ends today!

One Tunic; Three Ways

1. The Tunic: This is your average length tunic, paired with a boyfriend fit pant for a very relaxed look.

2. Belted: I placed a thin gold belt along my waist and pulled the tunic up and over; this shortened the tunic to a shirt length, and added the effect of another layer.

3. Front Tuck: I simply tucked one side of the tunic into the front of my denim; this shortened the entire length, and provided a more styled fit.
