No-Sew Striped Curtains

Moving into a new place is so much fun. There are so many possibilities for your new living space; with all of the interior design blogs and perfectly put together Pinterest boards, there’s no excuse these days for a sub-par, average looking spot to lay your head at night. I’ve decided to go with an all white color scheme in my bedroom, with pops of stripes, gold, and hot pink in various spots. I can’t wait to show you the evolution of it all!

The first step was finding curtains. If you don’t want to pay a pretty penny for luxurious Pottery Barn window threads, then you’ll have to do what I did: DIY! It was inexpensive, easy, and extremely satisfying to see your work displayed for everyone to see. I followed step by step “No Sew” instructions from this blog, and they turned out great!

Materials needed for two panels:

-3 spools of black ribbon
-3 packages of “Steam-a-Seam”
-2-4 single panels of curtains of your choice (9.99 at Target)
-3 yards of fabric of your choice
-Fabric scissors
-Iron
-Large space to lay everything out!

I found all of the supplies I needed at Jo-Ann’s Fabric store, and curtains from Target.
