So do you guys remember when I went to MAGIC in February to talk on the blogger panel with all of those amazing other bloggers and speakers? WELL…one of those amazing speakers was Joe Zee…you know, the guy who used to be Creative Director at ELLE, and is now casually the “Editor-in-Chief and Executive Creative Director” of Yahoo Style. NBD. Anyways. He spoke at a Q&A Session with WWD’s Fashion Director, Alex Badia, and I distinctly remember him pointing out how much orange was on the runway at Fashion Week. He told us to expect to see it A LOT this Spring, and sure enough, Simons definitely solidified that! There is an entire section devoted to the vibrant color that is taking our upcoming trends by storm, so I decided to round some inspo up for you guys, just in case you decide to jump on board. Scrolllllll on down to see what the heck is up!
I’m diggin’ this interesting take on the NB trend: pair them with a classic shift dress!
Okay, culottes are tough….but HOW cool are these ones? (HA, see what I did there?). Also, rompers. They always win.
Okay so I know orange is definitely a hard color to wear, especially if you’re afraid of standing out…if that’s the case, stick to patterns that subtly incorporate the color so you can be on-trend but also comfortable! Because let’s be real…comfortable is key (even though I also live by the motto “fashion is pain”, don’t judge me, I’m indecisive okay?)
(HOW CUTE IS THAT DRESS?!?!? Idk why but I am unusually obsessed…& it’s TWEED)
A cute skirt is also a subtle way to add a POP of boldness. (Yes, that is possible if executed properly).
And finally, when in doubt, accessorize it out. AKA: Start small, & work your way up when you’re ready for more color! Whether it be with a necklace, or a cute beach cover-up, baby steps still take you in the right direction!
Hope you guys found some inspiration to pull from, because we allllll know that orange looks GREAT with that summer sun-kissed skin xo
