Lately I’ve been trying to dig out the hidden gems in my closet that I once coveted, and incorporate them into my new personal style. As much as I love buying new clothes (an unprecedented amount) I also love the gratification I feel when I reinvent old clothes, and transform them into something completely different than they once were. I can assure you that with each year that passes, your sense of style changes and evolves into something different – instead of purging your old belongings, pull them out and see what new pieces you can pair them with to make an outfit you didn’t even know you had! Not only is it fun, it’s easier on your wallet 😉
This is a favorite top of mine from last summer. The color is perfect, the fabric is light, and the neckline is brilliant. It doesn’t need a necklace, but I couldn’t resist pairing this jeweled beauty with the striped pants. It was such an effortless summer outfit that I’d never worn together, but have owned each piece for quite a while! Amazing what you find in your own wardrobe when you dig!
