Rain Drops and Layers

Weather forecast says RAIN every.single.day for the next 5 days. I think this is Southern California’s punishment for basking in the sunshine while so many others got stuck in the snow! Karma sucks. (Although for a state that is currently in a drought, this is good…I’ll try to accept that).

While I stare out the window at the gloomy, rainy sky, all I have on my mind are potential outfits for the weekend. The key here is to layer up. Extra warmth is an added bonus when layering your favorite sweaters, plaids, ginghams, and dots. This is the easiest way to remain weather conscious, without having to surrender your style. Rain survival also includes a pair of boots; whether it be your favorite Hunter rain boots, or your trusty black Corso Como boots that can endure any climate. The rain is here to stay, for a couple of days at least, which means it’s time to pretend it is winter for the week. Enjoy it while it lasts, SoCal, xo.

A little layering inspiration with my favorite new sweater & gingham, and of course some polka dots 😉
