Repurposing & Reusing with The Rock

I haven’t done a DIY on here in quuiiite some time, but this project is so fun I can’t wait to share with you! Have you guys heard of The Rock Church in San Diego? Well, it’s pretty amazing. Pastor Miles is so ridiculously funny you can’t help but have a smile on your face the entire time he’s speaking. And the worship is SO powerful. My heart is so full when I leave each service.

One of my favorite things about the church is The Rock does countless things in San Diego county to help and uplift anyone they possibly can; one of the ways they give back is through their thrift stores (3 locations: Rosecrans, Sports Arena, and Fletcher Pkwy). This weekend I got to scour through the huge selection at their Rosecrans location to find the perfect DIY project. This project came at just the right time because I am on the hunt for patio furniture for my balcony, but it’s all SO expensive! Luckily, I found this cute wood table (that I assume used to be sitting in someone’s living room at one point) and made it into a table perfect for my little outdoor space! (AKA: my dad helped me sand & repaint it while I planted my new succulents, hehe…thanks dad! ALSO, side note…he used a paint spray gun, not a brush! That’s why it looks so smooth…just in case you try to do the same project yourself!)

I chose this paint from Home Depot called “Cupcake Pink.” It’s the perfect shade in my opinion *heart eyes emoji.* And these succulents are all various individual little guys that I put together in this 8″ pot. This was my first time ever planting anything, so I thought low maintenance was the way to go (fingers crossed I don’t kill these bullet proof little things).
