If you follow my social accounts, then you’ve probably seen me wear a topknot once or twice before! Today, I decided to upload a topknot tutorial because a lot of you ask me how I do mine! It’s the perfect hair style for those days you just don’t feel like doing your hair, and especially those days where you just don’t feel like washing your hair 😉
In my opinion, the more casual and laid-back the topknot, the better! Perfection is NOT necessary when it comes to these babies. I also make sure to pull my hair loose after the topknot is secured; that way it looks a little more worn-in and again…not too perfect.
I also find that the wavier my hair is, the better it holds! Sometimes my hair will be SO wavy that I can legitimately throw it in a topknot, tuck the end of my hair into the topknot, and not even use a hair tie to secure it LOL. I think that happens when it’s a little too messy though, so I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this strategy 😉
