This may be the first time I’ve said this, but January seemed to last FOREVER. Typically…time seems to go by way too dang fast, but for whatever reason, this past month really seemed to take its time.
I’m not mad about it though!
We had THE BEST month. We booked our wedding venue (THANK GOD!!!!!!!), took a two week road trip that was A FREAKING BLAST, did a wedding shoot for BHLDN, and shot our first ever look book together for a brand (YES, Brennan was the photographer)! It was a beyond successful month, and I’m so thankful/blessed/crying happy tears over it.
I know I don’t typically do a ton of travel posts on here, mostly because they’re so time consuming (kudos to the travel bloggers), but this is a special case.
Do you guys remember when my bff Allyson and I went to San Diego and stayed at the Porto Vista Hotel in Little Italy?
WELL – Brennan and I got to go back at the end of our road trip last week and let me tell you, it was SO FUN.
Not only was their rooftop completely renovated (complete with rooftop bar, seating areas galore, and “spool”), but we had one of the best views of Little Italy/San Diego Bay. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to end out our road trip!
The Glass Door restaurant was amazing, as per usual We LOVED the bacon wrapped dates, garlic fries, and their dinner specials. SO good. Not only was dinner divine, but their bottomless mimosa brunch was also so yummy.
Another really cool aspect the hotel has added since my first visit is the art throughout the property. Porto Vista Hotel has teamed up with local art gallery, 1805 Gallery, to feature local artists’ work throughout the lobby and Glass Door restaurant, and each piece is so captivating. The art adds such a fun pop of color everywhere you turn, and effortlessly ties in the local culture and talent that Little Italy is so good at adding to Downtown SD.
To top it all off, the Porto Vista Hotel is in the heart of Little Italy. It is by far one of the best neighborhoods to explore in San Diego, with endless options! The nightlife is spectacular, and the absolute best place to explore with your significant other. Brennan and I loved grabbing a coffee in the morning and walking through the streets before everyone was out and about.
If you’re looking for a special way to spend Valentine’s Day this year, I highly suggest you check out the Porto Vista Hotel’s Adore Your Amour package!
