FITNESS + WELLNESS

ClassPass 101

Today I am SO excited to introduce to you something that will change the way you workout forever (hopefully!). I have been a huge fan of the gym for many years, but it’s only been in the last year or so that I have gotten the courage to attend classes (anyone else get nervous to go to a new class?!). After exploring yoga, cycling, and a couple of others, I don’t know how I’ve waited this long to get into it!!

Since my new found love for fitness classes, I have ditched my normal routine that can sometimes get boring and switched over to ClassPass. You guys, it is A M A Z I N G. ClassPass is a monthly membership, just like your gym pass, but it gives you the power to workout at any participating studio, in multiple cities. This means you can go to Yoga Monday morning, CrossFit Wednesday night, and Barre on Saturday morning! I mean…can you think of a better way to explore your favorite workouts?! I can’t!

The nice thing is that ClassPass encourages you to venture out of your comfort zone – you are only allowed to attend the same class 3 times in the current month… BUT, you have unlimited access to every participating studio. This means you can try yoga for an entire month, you just need to switch up studios after you take 3 classes at one location. I love the fact that I can’t get too comfortable in one studio, and that I have the opportunity to try workouts that I wouldn’t normally have access to with my normal gym pass.

Studio List

Want to know what makes this all the more convenient? The fact that it is ALL booked online through your ClassPass portal! All you do is select what type of workout you are looking for, and in which neighborhood/city, and BAM – every studio, every class, every time slot. It’s amazing!
Class Search

Another useful tool is your ClassPass Profile. It keeps a running tab on every class you’ve taken, and keeps track of all of the info you may need. This makes it easy to remember what you’ve already tried, and what studios you’ve already worked out in. I’ve only tried two so far, but they were INCREDIBLE. I did a class at Studio Metamorphosis in Pasadena that split the class between a 25 minute cycling class, then jumped right into a 25 min Pilates class (this was my first try at Pilates…boy is it a workout). It was one of the best workouts I’ve ever done…seriously. It was iiiiinsane.

My Classes

And last but not least (sorry, information overload!) ClassPass has finally launched ClassPass Flex, which allows you to workout in any city! Click on a city below to find out which studios are participating in your area!

Boston | Chicago | New York | Los Angeles | San Francisco | Washington, D.C. | Seattle  | San Diego | Portland | Austin | Dallas

Barre

To my San Diego peeps – be sure to try Studio Barre (multiple locations) for the best Barre workout ever! It was my first time trying Barre, and I am addicted. Trust me, you will be obsessed!! (Don’t forget your slip-proof socks)

  1. I agree, Class Pass is the absolute best alternative to a gym membership! It’s nice to be able to change up your workout every day. My favorites are Flywheel and Pure Barre. I would love for you to check out my blog where I give the low down on all of the studios I’ve visited so far! Email me if you want to hit up a workout together!
