Hanes Ultimate Bra Giveaway

Real talk.

This post is a little different from what I normally blog about, but I definitely believe it’s something that’s worth talking about. Thanks to the Hanes Ultimate Bra, I have an excuse to bring it up! So…let’s talk bras.

For years I was going to Victoria’s Secret and being fit for a 34B. Literally since the time I started wearing a serious bra, that was what they told me I needed.

It wasn’t until I started working at Nordstrom that one of my girlfriends in the Lingerie department told me I should be fit again just to check, because more often than not, women are actually wearing the incorrect size. Sure enough, I was one of them! Instead of a 34, I was supposed to be in a 32 — not too drastically different, but a little bit goes a long way. Not to mention I was being told this after almost a decade of wearing the wrong bra.

Your bra is supposed to stretch out naturally over time; aka you’re supposed to start wearing the bra on the loosest clip, over time working your way to the tightest clip. I was starting with the tightest clip in my 34B bras, and then buying a new bra every time it was too stretched out to give me support! Not okay; the life of your bra is literally a fraction if you do this!

If you’re wearing a size too large, it also gives the illusion that you are wider than you really are. Ummm last I checked there’s probably not one woman on this PLANET who wants to appear wider…soooo that should be reason enough to make sure you’re in the correct size.

The other game changer that recently came into my life were these Hanes Ultimate bras. I can’t explain to you guys how comfortable they are. It’s like your favorite T-shirt was made into your new favorite bra. Like…I don’t even want to take this off when I get home from a long day of work. THAT comfortable!

I have two versions: one with underwire, and one without. Lately I’ve been opting for comfort over …well…size…as in, I’m not so much worried about wearing my push up bras lately, I’ve been opting for my lacey, pad-less bras because they’re just so much more enticing. Thankfully, these two bras have quickly become my comfortable alternative to my normal bras.

Not only do they take care of comfort, but they also take care of shape! (Unlike my little lacey bras) They’re flattering, lay nicely on your skin *without pushing out all of your excess skin so that you look like you’re being squeezed to death by your bra* AND feel like your favorite t-shirt. SUCH A WIN.

These bras are the perfect foundation to any outfit — they will forever change your mind (and raise your standards) about the comfort level of undergarments!
