If you know me, then you know that one of my favorite things to spend money on is office supplies. Whether it be a new pink notebook, a gold striped daily planner, adorable thank you cards, glittery pencils, gold twine, or anything that falls into the category of office functional meets irresistibly cute, then you can almost bet that I would buy it without thinking. Last year I found the “things we love“ kate spade planner and didn’t think twice about purchasing it; this planner seriously incorporated everything that represented kate spade and all her glory. If you got your hands on one, then you know what I’m talking about! Sadly, planners’ shelf life is merely a year, and when a planner this cute comes along, it’s impossible to dispose of it come the new year. I knew that I could not part ways with it just yet, so I kept it as decor on my desk.
I recently have been on the hunt for the perfect prints to hang in my room, and when I remembered the beautiful prints incorporated into this planner, I knew I had come up with the perfect solution. Below is my kate spade DIY decorating at its finest.
Materials Needed:
- Frames – Dollar Tree
- Prints – kate spade planner
- Thumb tacks
- Double sided tape
Steps were easy: I cut out the prints I liked from the planner. I simply flipped over the picture that came in the frame so the background would be a crisp white, stuck one piece of double sided tape onto the white insert, and centered the print. Voila!
Since the frames are so light-weight, I was able to stick clear thumb tacks into the wall and hang the frames that way. Less clean up, and easy to move if I change my mind!
