Palm Springs Bachelorette Party 101

My most read blog post to date is titled Hotel Bachelorette Party 101. I wrote it after I threw my best friend’s bachelorette years ago, and still to this day it gets views daily. I’ve been waiting so long to finally write a blog post about my OWN bachelorette party, so here it is! Palm Springs Bachelorette Party 101, with every single detail you could ever ask for from my bachelorette weekend!

At the beginning of August, myself and 12 girlfriends headed to Palm Springs for my bachelorette party, and from start to finish it was absolutely perfect.

DISCLAIMER: I’m not the best partier / drinker  – mostly because I’m either too tired to stay out late, or too much of a lightweight to handle the alcohol past 2 drinks – so I always knew that I wanted a mellow bachelorette party.

My vision of the perfect bachelorette weekend involved some sort of morning workout, a healthy breakfast, some tasty beverages by the pool, an amazing dinner, and a nice tan to show off when it was over. Bonus points if we made it out to a dance floor for maybe an hour and then went home and got in bed – with NO hangover the next morning.

If you resonate with that vision then keep reading, because that is exactly what we did and then some.

LET’S do a deep dive into my bachelorette weekend, shall we?!

FRIDAY

We started off the weekend with an early drive out to the Desert Hills Outlets where I scored this stunning Gucci waist bag. Needless to say, I was already on cloud 9 before the weekend even got started.

My co-pilot took the wheel from that point forward and let me sip on canned Babe Rosé as we headed to our next spot. Since we had time to kill before we checked into our house we decided to stop at FARM to grab some lunch. I’d never been before and I 10/10 recommend. I had the BEST sandwich paired with some ice cold rosé.

I’m sure you can guess that I was already feeling bubbly and ready to get the party started.

We hit the grocery store to load up on our food for that evening ( so amazing to have a kitchen to cook in to save money and have a low-key first night so everyone can get acquainted with one another ) and of course our beverages of choice!

ALWAYS always always on the hunt for Nosotros Tequila ( literally SO good even as a shot and I refuse shots 9.9/10 times so that means a lot coming from me ) which we found at BevMo, and Babe Rose!

It was finally time to check into the house and my girls were so amazing because they got right to work decorating while I unpacked and unwound for an hour before the festivities started.

We had THE CUTEST party supplies ever from For Your Party – HOW CUTE ARE THESE?!?!? I DIED when I saw them.

My mom also made cookies for us, and they turned out almost too cute to eat. DM her if you want to place an order @cookeecollective! She ships 🙂

Once decorations were ready, we poured some drinks, had some snacks and played our first game “Drink If.”  It was so cute and easy to play – not to mention it helped us all break the ice which was perfect for my friends that had never met before!

Since we were staying in, everyone pitched in to help cook taco bowls which was SO yummy and easy.

After dinner we hung out, had some more drinks, and then my sister surprised me with the cutest game that involved Brennan! She had him record all of his answers and then compiled them into a video for me to reference as I answered the same questions. If our answers matched, I didn’t have to drink – if I was wrong, I did have to drink!

10/10 recommend this if you’re planning your bff’s bachelorette because it’s such a sweet surprise to see your fiancé’s face and gives you all the warm fuzzy feelings that make the weekend that much more sweet.

We ended the night with a lingerie game that made receiving the lingerie so much more fun than simply opening up gifts in front of everyone. And it was so simple: all lingerie that was brought as a gift was hung up and I had to guess who gifted each item – if I got it wrong (which I basically got everything wrong and was terrible at remembering my guesses) I had to drink – if I got it right, the gift giver had to drink.

After that we threw on a movie and girls slowly started to disappear to bed to prepare for day 2.

SATURDAY

Since we were in Palm Springs in the dead of summer, all we wanted to do was relax and take it easy.

To start the day off, we had a private yoga class in the backyard which was honestly how I want to start every morning from now on. The instructor brought her own mats for us to use, and we were able to do the class on the covered patio so we could enjoy the fresh air but not feel like we were dying in the morning sunshine.

For breakfast some of my bridesmaids made yogurt parfait cups, cooked up some eggs and prepped some avocado toast. Another great way to save money by cooking in!

After breakfast, Chy Massage came to the house to offer 30 minute massages to everyone there and I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS ENOUGH! It was so incredible and truly set such a relaxing tone for the day. They set up their massage beds in the master bedroom and did 2 girls at a time with the option to extend to an hour massage for an extra fee. They offered aromatherapy with your massage, with an option for CBD which I thought was so great!

Having a pool was KEY to surviving the heat. While girls were getting massages, everyone else was hanging out in the pool.

We ordered sandwiches for lunch, hung around the house until around 6:30, and then headed out for our fancy dinner at La Serena Villas restaurant Azucar.

The hotel itself is STUNNING and honestly a place everyone should go check out, but I would probably rate the restaurant food about a 7.5/10. Due to our large group we did a pre-fixed menu – the food was good, but a little pricey for what they offered. The drinks, however, were 10/10! SO tasty. The vibe of the restaurant is incredible, so I’d recommend just going there for drinks and apps vs a dinner for a large group.

After that we wanted to dance, so we went out to Village Pub in Downtown Palm Springs. It was honestly SO much fun – it’s been a while since I’d actually gone out and danced with my girlfriends, and it was one of those moments where you think to yourself *holy shit I’m at my bachelorette party and I’m getting MARRIED*!!!!!! It was a blast. I was only forced to take one shot so I’d say it was a success 🙂

Since it was so hot out still and we basically died at Village Pub from dancing in 98 degree heat, we went home and jumped in the pool to cool off and cater to our sore feet.

SUNDAY

Can’t even sugar coat this – we pretty much all woke up feeling slightly hungover and ready to get home. The PLAN was to go somewhere for brunch, namely The Pink Cabana at Sands Hotel, but we just couldn’t do it.

We cleaned up (by we I mean I laid in bed completely worthless bc I CANNOT FUNCTION when I have a hangover and my amazing friends cleaned up the house) and were out the door by 10am. Before heading back to LA we picked up breakfast burritos and coffees to bring us back to life and we were off.

ACCOMODATIONS

You guys were SO eager to find out where we were staying, and I finally have a link to share with you!! My bridesmaids found Villa Lolita on Vacation Palm Springs and I cannot recommend it enough.

The photos online do NOT do it justice, honestly. It’s my actual dream house. It slept us all comfortably (12 girls one night, 10 girls the 2nd night) and had SO much room in the common areas. The home also had an amazing backyard casita, large outdoor patio, olympic swimming style pool, and grass area. Not to mention a huge driveway that was perfect to keep cars throughout the weekend.

Aesthetically it could not have been better – the only complaint I have is that the beds in some rooms are pretty rock solid and the pillows are not comfy. So be sure to bring your own, and maybe a few blankets to layer onto the mattress to make them a little more sleep-able.

GIFT BAGS

I AM SO EXCITED to finally share ALL of the details that went into the gift bags I put together for my bachelorette attendees. One of my favorite things about blogging is how many incredible brands I’m introduced to on a daily basis, and I was given the unique opportunity to share this with some of my closest friends first hand. I cannot thank these brands enough for helping me put together the gift bag of ALL gift bags, so I am going to walk you through each and every product so you can see what the girls went home with!

gift bag ideas

THE BEACH PEOPLE – This brand is one I hold very close to my heart. I’ve been a fan of them for years now, and to say that I’ve been gifted by them is SUCH a blessing. I have a few of their towels and a macrame bag of my own, so to be able to use this cute jute bag as the gift bag itself was so much fun!!

CORKCICLE –  I have been obsessed with Corkcicle products for about a year now; our house is FULL of Corkcicle’s appropriate for pretty much any scenario! I had to share the love with my babes so I included this pink sport canteen ( the straw feature is KEY ) and this adorable pink stemless wine glass complete with spill-proof lids. They were so great for keeping our beverages cold in the pool all day, and keep us hydrated.

SLOWTIDE TOWELS – This towel brand was recently introduced to me and they have the CUTEST patterns! I have this checkered one, and they sent me this ADORABLE pink leopard fringe towel that I die for. For my bachelorette, they stocked our bags with these cute palm print towels! Sadly they’re out of stock, but I’m OBSESSED with this yellow print, and this new stripe print!

SAJE WELLNESS – Okay…this product deserves an entire blog post because I am a HUGE advocate for it, but we’ll keep this short. The Peppermint Halo roller is VITAL for everyone – whether they believe in the power of essential oils or not. Instead of the typical “hangover kit” with some sort of headache pill, I decided to supply my girls with this essential oil roller to combat any headaches they may experience throughout the weekend. It’s pretty much all I ever use these days to treat a headache ( unless it’s a migraine and I’m literally about to vom ) and I cannot express to you how much of a game changer it is. It’s SO soothing, and honestly just enjoyable to roll on your forehead even if you don’t have a headache. 10/10 recommend.

THE SACRED RITUAL – This cute brand was recently introduced to me on a staycation I went on and I am OBSESSED! She is semi-local to the LA region and has the best self-care products. She was so gracious to send out bath salts for everyone to enjoy when they got home from the busy weekend. I also have the Triple Threat oil and clear quartz roller from her that I love.

MYRO DEODORANT – In all honesty I’ve never tried this natural deodorant myself, but I am SUCH an advocate for switching your products to natural products whenever you can, so I was very excited to semi-force (LOL) this onto my gals. It’s a plant based, refillable, recyclable deodorant with lots of yummy scents and cute packaging. Upon opening the bags someone yelled “OMG I HAVE BEEN DYING TO TRY THIS DEODORANT FOREVER,” so I’ll count that as a win.

THE SIS KISS – Okay HOW CUTEEEEE are these accessories?! So in love with this bracelet and necklace combo. I was lucky enough to snag one of these for myself and I’m obsessed.

DESIGN.ME HAIR – I have some products from this brand and they are SO dang cute. They were so sweet and sent over their Powderdry.ME product that decreases your blowdrying time by 50%, provides frizz control, heat and UV protection, and smoothes & conditions hair. So basically it does EVERYTHING you could ever want out of a blow dry product!

C’EST BEAU 1872 – This brand is so cute and has so many different products! From makeup, to skincare, to home, to jewelry – and their packaging is on-point. They sent over a variety of cute skincare and makeup products that I will link here for you to explore!

VAITAL ORGANICS – These packets are near and dear to my heart because I’m actually close friends with the owner! He created his own CBD Superfood protein powders and they are SO great in your smoothies, so it was really fun to share his incredible product with my girls! He’s offering a 15% off code for anyone who orders online!

OWYN PROTEIN SHAKES – These are yummy 100% Plant-Based nutrition protein drinks that I thought would be a good addition for Sunday morning if anyone was needing any extra help to get their day started after a night out! They have 535mg Omega 3, are a greens blend, good source of fiber, contain essential amino acids, and very low on sugar. They are FREE from dairy, gluten, soy, egg, peanuts, nuts, fish, shellfish, chemicals, fillers, artificial junk and sugar alcohols. Yes please!

organic protein shake

KOPARI TRAVEL SIZE DEODORANT – Just in case the girls wanted a travel option for their new found love for natural deodorant (LOL) Kopari sent over their cutie little coconut deodorant perfect for your purse, car, or carry on! Honestly an essential. ESPECIALLY if you’re a natural deodorant user – you know that one swipe is just not enough for all day and that’s just the reality of it haha.

DO’s & DONT’s

Now that my bachelorette party has come and gone, here are my takeaways:

  1. 10/10 recommend renting a HOUSE vs getting hotel rooms. It’s easier to split the cost with a big group, save money by cooking meals there, and is ideal when anyone needs to sneak away for some alone time! It gets hard to be in a big group of people for an extended amount of time, so having multiple rooms to sneak away to was really helpful.
  2. Don’t overbuy alcohol! We WAY overbought, and ended up going home with a TON of alcohol. Looking back, we had so many people and cars that it would have been a better idea to run out on an alcohol run vs over-buying.
  3. Palm Springs in the summer is obviously extremely hot, but it’s 100% doable if you have a pool! Pricing on accommodations is also slightly cheaper since it’s technically the off-season.
  4. Have a few activities planned ( the massages and yoga were highlights of the trip! ) but don’t overbook yourself! It’s SO nice to be able to take a weekend before the wedding to hang out with your best friends all in one place and just veg.
  5. Don’t make any set plans for the last day of your trip just in case everyone wakes up feeling a little hungover! We had our sights set on brunch Sunday morning, but when we woke up everyone agreed that it wasn’t going to happen. Breakfast burritos on the way home were the perfect solution 😉

CHEERS to planning the perfect Palm Springs bachelorette!

  1. Hi! Who did you use as the yoga instructor? I’m the maid of honor trying to plan my best friends palm springs bachelorette and we’re not sure who to use!

    1. Ah sadly I don’t have her information!!! My bridesmaids handled it all, but I think they just searched for local instructors and contacted them to see if they did private events! You can also try contacting yoga studios in the area and seeing if they offer that service / recommend any contracted yoga instructors 🙂
