Piperlime: Moments of Chic

Though distressed denim has always been a popular pick, this season it seems like the distressed factor has turned more towards the discreetly ripped denim with just a few lines at the knee – from retailers like Madewell and Nordstrom, to H&M and Forever 21, luckily it’s not hard to find a version that fits in your budget.

This pair from Piperlime is by Blank NYC and fits like a dream – the rips are subtle, but they still give the jeans an edgy flare. The color of these jeans is unlike any other pair that I own! They are very grey, but also have a black undertone that make them easy to dress up for a more evening appropriate outfit.

Pairing the denim with this silk blouse from Joie gave the outfit the ultimate feminine touch – topping it off with classic black heels and a bright pink lip really displayed what happens when fem meets grunge. Needless to say, I am a fan. I feel like there’s something fun to an outfit that mixes two styles that really don’t go together. I always say, if you like it, wear it! If you think something goes together, rock it; own it. Your style is YOURS, and no one can take that away or say that you’re wrong.
