There’s no denying that when adidas made their way back into the forefront of street style, you couldn’t go anywhere without seeing the infamous Originals Superstar styled in a way that made you want to head to your nearest Finish Line and buy a pair for yourself ASAP. They completely owned the sneaker style resurgence.
I also must admit that until I started dating Brennan, sneakers weren’t yet a part of my shoe rotation. Fast forward through many surprise gifts of new sneakers I didn’t know I wanted (I will never get over when he surprised me with these Stan Smiths on Valentine’s day during our beach picnic date) / many trips to Finish Line for him to browse the New Arrivals and suddenly I have more sneakers than any other shoe in my closet.
Don’t get me wrong, I am NOT upset about this fact. Especially since sneakers are now an acceptable shoe option for pretty much any occasion / can be paired with basically anything in your closet.
My favorite sneaker pairing is with a dress – which is how I styled my new adidas Originals Continental 80s. To be honest I didn’t even know these shoes existed until my friend Mariah was wearing them on our trip recently in Copenhagen ( she had this cute color ) and I had to get my hands on them as soon as we got back. Doesn’t hurt that they’re a great price point, and available in SO many colors from Finish Line. It was hard to pick, but I LOVE my mint ones – adidas is in hot pink which adds a really cute flare to the sneakers.
Also going to link a TON of cute clothes from adidas at Finish Line below because they are all add to cart worthy.
