I’ll be the first to admit that Halloween isn’t my favorite holiday to decorate for — I’m more of a “Christmas starts on November 1st” kind of girl. But with kids, it’s hard to hold back when it comes to holiday decor. Every year I do enjoy getting festive with some cozy, wholesome Halloween Decor.
Last year I made this Halloween Decor reel to recap how I decorated our home with an emphasis on cozy, and I used it again this year to decorate our mantle and porch.

Homegoods rewarded me with an extremely realistic fall leaf garland that made layering our mantle SO much fun. I always see those huge mantle photos on Pinterest and dream of building my own, so this felt like a good start.
I grabbed these pumpkins from Target and they’ve proved to be somewhat toddler & baby proof so far. I’m not one to bring ghosts into the mix but this guy looked very wholesome, so he made his way into the decor this year. The garlands are both a mix of new and old, and the brooms are my pride & joy purchase from McGee & Co. last year. They’ve sadly not restocked for this year, but I did find some alternatives that will fill the gap for you. They’re such a fun addition and I love the size.
This is the also the first year we’ve done anything in our yard, and again — now that we have kids everything is so much more fun. I’d typically turn away from any sort of yard inflatable, but since we’re hosting two separate Halloween parties at our home this year, it felt fun to really lean in to the yard decor.
Funboy has a cute collection of light up inflatables that we utilized and it’s been fun to see people in the neighborhood stop to take a look at everyting, especially when it’s all lit up at night.
