How to Fix Damaged Hair (on a Budget)

What better way to start off a Monday than by talking about great hair days and how to have more of them? Especially when we’re talking about shampoo and conditioner that work with your budget.

If you’ve been following along on Instagram then you’ve seen a few updates on my #Pantene14DayChallenge ( Day 1 and Day 7 to be specific ). Well, I’m thrilled to say I made it the full 14 days and it’s time for a recap!

I’ve been using Pantene products for as long as I can remember, and I’ve even blogged about them here and here

Before I started this challenge 2 weeks ago, my biggest complaint was the amount of flyaways I was noticing giving me a bad hair day.

My hair is no stranger to the constant hot tool usage, dyeing process, and most recently extensions…but I always make an effort to do everything I can to protect my hair to the best of my ability. Damaged hair is the last thing I want!

With the recent drop in temperature, and all of the traveling Brennan and I have been doing, my normal routine just wasn’t cutting it. Instead of breaking the bank in an effort to repair the damage I began to notice, I went straight to my favorite tried-and-true hair care brand that consistently falls right in line with my budget.

Enter: The Pantene Repair & Protect Shampoo and Conditioner. Ideal for anyone with “shoulder-length or longer hair, who colors at least every 3 months and is concerned with hair that is dull, dry, and more breakage-prone.”

AKA EXACTLY what I was looking for.

It’s the best shampoo for damaged hair, color-safe, and is specifically formulated to repair in a matter of days. FAST results were exactly what I was looking for, so I started right away!

If you didn’t resonate with the concerns listed above, I recommend you check out the following from Pantene as well to see what best suits your hair goals:

  • The Pantene Daily Moisture Renewal Shampoo and Conditioner
    • Curly/Wavy hair prone to frizz
  • Pantene Gold Series Moisture Boost Shampoo and Conditioner
    • Textured hair for women of African Ancestry
  • Pantene Sheer Volume Shampoo and Conditioner
    • Fine/flat hair looking for Volume

After the first use of my Repair & Protect Shampoo and Conditioner, I already noticed how easy it was to detangle my hair in the shower ( an often difficult task with long extensions ), which in-turn made it easier to comb outside of the shower!

When I hit my 1 week mark, my flyaways were subsiding and my hair had added shine and vibrancy. WIN-WIN.

And today, on day 14…a great hair day! My hair seems stronger, softer, and shinier!

You know what the best part is? Walmart offers this shampoo and conditioner duo for under $6…TOGETHER. Can you believe that?! Your great hair day is only 14 days and $6 away.

Nothing feels better than confidently walking out the door knowing your hair looks good. So why deprive yourself from the confidence you deserve?

Now it’s YOUR turn 🙂
