How do you feel about clean beauty?
I’ve slowly but surely started incorporating more clean beauty into my daily regimen. I started with skincare, dabbled in makeup, acquired a few clean candles, and most recently made the switch to natural perfume!
You may have seen me talk about Skylar on my instagram already, but if not, I am SO excited to tell you ALL about them! They’re all natural, hypoallergenic, and cruelty-free.
I was first introduced to the natural perfume brand back in March through a PR company. When I received the email I thought to my(uninformed)self…”How good could natural perfume be? Isn’t scent what makes our products “impure” in the first place?” WELL, I was pleasantly surprised (AND OH SO WRONG) when I unpackaged their 4 original scents. Frankly, I found myself loving each and every one.
Not only do they smell divine. However, they are all so perfectly subtle that it’s almost as if the scents become a part of you. They’re not so intense that you demand (negative) attention when you walk into the room and force your scent upon anyone within a 5 foot radius. They’re delicately understated, yet effective.
I’m fascinated with this perfume: Capri by Skylar
This week Skylar marked the launch of this new scent ‘Capri.’ I always considered myself an ‘Isle’ or ‘Arrow’ girl, but this scent has got me swept away in the magic of the Italian island known for its zesty culture and lemon-adorned streets. After experiencing the original scents first hand, it comes as no surprise to me that Skylar has completely embodied the Italian island lifestyle with the newest addition to their lineup.
When I was first given the opportunity to sample the perfume, I was truly captivated. The words that immediately came to mind were zesty, vacation, sunshine, citrus and magical.
It took me back to my weekend on the Amalfi coast last summer with my mom. I was suddenly aching for another Italian summer along the Mediterranean. Sipping on an Aperol Spritz with not a care in the world.
