Purple People Eater

Ever since I was a kid, my dad used to tell me a story that if I wore purple, then I would be eaten by the Purple People Eater. (Sidenote, if you know me, then you know I am literally scared of everything…so as a child, you can imagine how lasting the impression of being eaten was on me). Needless to say, I retired my purple matching coordinates and never wore the color again. That is, until yesterday, when I wore this sweater…with these purple nails. It wasn’t until I even got this sweater that I realized I literally own NO purple…at all. And it wasn’t until I started to think about what I wanted to write in this post that I remembered this silly story my dad used to tell me! It all started to make sense as to why I was never drawn to purple. I think that as a mature young adult *ha*, I can now wear purple in confidence that no scary monster is going to eat me…but don’t ask me to walk anywhere alone in a dark house because THAT will never happen…baby steps people 😉
